This picture was
taken in July 1930; It was an outing for the
teens of the Harper
Methodist Church.....Edward
L. Lowery
was the pastor of the church (my grandfather). The tentative
identities of the young people according to
Mildred
Lowery Gum
(my Aunt) are as follows: from left to right the first two young men
are unidentified. The next two young ladies sitting on the white
car are also unidentified. The ladies in front of the two sitting on
the car are my Mother,
Lillian Cox
Lowery,
and next to her is
Virginia Jenkins.
The next 3 ladies (sitting) are
Mildred Haley,
Marie
Spangler
(who was a minister and was assisting my grandfather with a revival).
"Marie
was a beautiful person and could really sing" according to
Mildred Gum.
The 3rd young lady is
Mary Lowery
Norris
(my Aunt). Behind the 3 ladies sitting down are
Forest Bostic
(Adrian
Bostic
should be
interested in this) Margaret Cox
Falin
(another Aunt),
Ivan H. Lowery
(my
Father),
Denver Griffith,
Roy
Keesee,
and
Lyle Jenkins.
