"This is a picture (c1940s) of my Grandfather W. G. (Jake) Burleson, I have no idea where it was taken at or where. He, my grandmother & family lived on Old Eccles, He fired the boilers at the mines. My mother was Bessie Burleson Fleming."

 "Dennis; From left to right, Harold Fleming (me), Donnie Barker, the pony, forgot his name, Sambo Barker (nickname), & John Velton Barker, my best friend. The picture was taken in # 3 Hollow in Eccles, to the left and up the hill is Allentown, & to the right & up the hill is school house hill. The picture was probably 1947 or 1948."

This is Mauhee Nidiffer. She graduated from Trap Hill in 1942 and went to work at a Munitions factory in Maryland and was killed in an explosion at the plant. Photo circa 1940.

Update: "The answer to the question of which Spencer girl is in the photo w/ Mary Elizabeth Spencer, is Drema Gaye Spencer. She is my mother. ............My father, Charles A. Haley grew up in Eccles too. His father William H. Haley ran a store & a sawmill during the 30s-40s. That is also the time frame of the Spencer photo". Thank you, Bill Haley - June 14, 2003

Picture taken at the Eccles Boy Scout building that was across the field from our house along route 3. The scoutmaster is John Cormack, the scout on the left is Allen Croft and I (Ivan A. Lowery) am the scout on the right. The time frame is in the mid 1940's. -
