 Welcome. This site was conceived when I started researching my family's genealogy in March of 2000.  I visited Eccles, WV twice in the last few years which consisted of searches through county, state, church and

personal records. I have met several residents who have graciously helped jump start the idea of this web site. Since then, I have found an extended family of  many people whom I have never personally met but I feel close to them because of our common coal mining bond.  These pages are dedicated to the courageous families and the descendants of the Coal Miners that toiled there in the early to mid-20th Century.  These pages are for you to enjoy and reminisce. Please contribute your photos and documents!  Please include your full name.

Notice: December 23, 2007 - Our web hosting service will be moving this website to a new server and we will lose our capability for searching.  We are behind in updates of correspondence and submissions and will add as soon as possible. Your financial support is needed to keep this website up and running. A major re-design of the site is currently planned.
